Join us for a fun adventure tour through the Gallery’s collection. Hear stories, play games and make your own masterpiece. For 3-5 year olds (with an adult)
A key aim of this program is to assist parents and carers with strategies for engaging their young children with art in a fun and exciting way. Each tour is led by two of our professional Gallery Educators and includes a combination of looking and interpreting exercises, stories, role-play and specially designed art-making activities for both children and adults to encourage a fun, interactive art experience. Bookings InformationSince their inception in 2006, these tours have grown in popularity and we are keen to allow as many children as possible to experience this unique program. As a public institution it is the Gallery's policy to enable access to as many children as possible. As such, it is necessary to limit the amount of bookings to a maximum of three workshops per year to ensure we can fulfil our responsibility in this way. The workshops are programmed in such a way that three tours will provide your child with a complete and fulfilling experience. Tours for Tots is designed as a starting point in your child's on-going relationship with the Gallery, which may lead to our diverse and exciting family programs which you can find on this website. We thank you for your support of the Gallery and look forward to being a part of your child's lifelong enjoyment of visual art. 200925 August Let's look at water 29 September Let's look at mythical creatures 27 October Let's look at knights and princesses 24 November Let's look at city scenes 15 December Let's look at decoration 201019 January Let's look at fancy dress 23 February Let's look at battles and beauties 25 May Let's look at music and movement 29 June Let's look at farm animals
